BackHouseBrew Blonde Ale
Drink Good Beer!
Re: BackHouseBrew Blonde Ale
Wow, that's quite a malt bill for a blonde ale. Are you trying to use up some small quantities of grain? Your efficiency looks pretty low, is that what you normally get?
If you always ferment at 68 with US-05 it can be an interesting experiment to try different temperatures. US-05 will work great down to the mid-50's at least, trying something like 60 or 62 would give you a bit cleaner yeast character than 68 and might work well in this beer.
Looks like a tasty beer though, I look forward to trying it at a meeting. I'd like to see how the honey malt and aromatic work together, it sounds like an interesting combination.

Good catch.
That was a typo. It should have said 75%
The recipe was originally from Erics computer. There were a couple of substitutes made.
I had some at the meeting last Tuesday. It got some good reviews.
I'll try a cooler fermenting temp on the next batch.

Oh, my mistake, I thought this was a recipe you're getting ready to brew. I didn't realize it was one you brought to the meeting. I'm bummed I missed it...
