Hey folks... Long time! I've finally reorganized my garage, allowing an extra freezer, which means my fermentation fridge can again be used for fermentation rather than overload freezer storage. So I'm planning to actually brew for the first time in 4 1/2 years this weekend!
Unfortunately, I don't currently have a working copy of Beersmith. I don't intend to load it onto my work laptop, and my Linux server has died after a decade and I'm still debating a mini PC to replace it. I tried importing my [attached] Recipe.bsmx file to Brewer's Friend, but it's erroring out.
Any way anyone can help me either re-import and then re-export the file to a current version that can be imported to Brewer's Friend, or at the very least help me recreate the most recent blonde ale recipe (my first brew back) so that I can enter it into something like Brewer's Friend?
Let me know. Thanks in advance!

Hey Brad, I hope all is well with you and the family! I don’t have beersmith but I’ll ask around,

Thanks Tim! Family is well--Wyatt has a job, a car, and we're getting ready to start taking him on college tours... I was struck when I logged in here and realized my avatar was him as a toddler standing in front of my old brew rig. Hope all is well with you and yours!
Might be worth holding off for now... I ended up putting a recipe together w/o it to brew Sunday, and then pushed the brew day out due to the forecasted rain (which then disappeared the entirety of the time I'd have been brewing)...
I've got a linux system at the office that I might be able to try to load Beersmith on and at least update the recipe files to a newer format where I can work with them, and access them at least intermittently on the days I don't WFH...

Time flies. Glad to hear Wyatt is doing well. Mine are all growed up and out of house. Beware, it's coming for you.
I lost a bunch of old recipes, as well, when I moved away from ProMash. I still have the CD but there are far better apps out there now.
Unfortunately, I've moved down to Dana Point and my brewing equipment is stuck up in Orange for a bit. Soon, I will brew again.
