I probably won't have a chance to make it to H24 before the meeting. If I do make it to the meeting, I will be very late.ArrogantDan wrote:Heah Brad, are you gonna make it to the meeting on the 22nd? If so, can you pick up our scoresheets and medal/ribbon?

Score sheets arrived today.
My Smokin Hemp Ale recieved a 36 and 31.
Last year at H24 this beer scored in the 30's but it went on to take 1st place at the O.C.Fair 2011.
Ya never know.

Scores in a competition are mostly relative to other beers in the flight. Comparing scores between competitions doesn't tell you much outside of the general ranges listed at the bottom of the scoresheet.

Exactly. My German Pilsner that got first runner up BOS, only scored in the low 30s. My Pale Ale scored in the upper 30s, and did not place. It was kind of funny that both judges commented that my Pale Ale was a little too hoppy for the style, but that batch was not as hoppy as the one I entered last year that won the category.brahn wrote:Scores in a competition are mostly relative to other beers in the flight.
