Nice work all. Sam, so close.............I know that feeling. Did it twice at H24 before I finally got one. Your time will come.

Re: 2015 Pacific Brewers Cup
They just posted scoresheets...
I'm not shocked that my Saison didn't place in either this or Fest of Ales. It's a bit of a basic recipe (just Belg. Pils malt and Saaz hops [magnum for bittering]), but even tasting it myself I had a few issues with it. I just didn't like the WLP566 yeast. Looking at the scoresheets, the critiques were mostly related to the same sort of things I thought about the yeast, it's just a bit bland.
Beer might have scored better in another Belgian category, based on the yeast not living up to what I like from a saison.
If you're doing a saison, I highly recommend WLP565 over WLP566.

Re: 2015 Pacific Brewers Cup
It's a bit odd they post all of the scoresheets, but they got them out pretty quick.
General consensus is my raspberry beer it too raspberry and not enough beer. Maybe I'll cut the tea bags back.
My scoresheets are cat 29 - 205, cat 29 - 206 if anyone wants to read them.
Some good feedback. One judge though, not so much...

Re: 2015 Pacific Brewers Cup
How can you identify which scoresheet is yours. entry numbers don't correspond?
Please elucidate, thanks

Re: 2015 Pacific Brewers Cup
They should have sent you an email with the link to the scoresheets, and in that email they had your category and the entry number...Megastout wrote:How can you identify which scoresheet is yours. entry numbers don't correspond?
