Re: parts scavenging
The dryer should have a gas ignition system you could use. The washing machine should have a fill valve that you could use with a float switch for a HLT fill.

The washing machine basin makes a great campfire container. The holes in the side let fresh air into the embers.

I think there was some ideas from Derrin he brought up in this thread, where you could mod one to help insulate the outside of a brew kettle to possible get more efficient use of the hot air traveling along the sides.

I'm not sure you want the pump. It's generally linked to the motor via a transmission and setting all that up outside the washer is a hassle.
I do like the idea of the motor for a mill...got an extra?

Re: parts scavenging
A dishwasher has a mean pump that makes a great keg washer, but a washing machine just has to drain the basket, no real power.
Re: parts scavenging
Some parts are likely to be up for grabs. My mill is already motorized. Thanks Lyn! Tim you want the motor?
Another idea for the dryer is to use it as a tumbler for polishing the inside of kegs.

Yes, the motor would be awesome if you'll part with it.
