I just wanted to share some pics of my new HERMS system. It is ready for brewing and will have a maiden brew this Sunday.
Some features are digital controls for HT burner, Mash recirculating pump to heat exchanger, inline aeration after chiller and totally adjustable temps for each keggle

A few questions:
- What kind of controller are you running?
- Are you using pilot lights or electronic ignition?
- Any concern with heat wash next to that water filter?
- Are you doing direct firing on the MLT to heat the strike water and then switch to HERMS for mash temp maintenance?

HLT is a standing pilot while MT and Boil are electronic ignition
Heat wash has not proven to be an issue for water filter
The MT is direct fired to bring up to mash temp, then switch to controller for temp monitoring and mash temp control via heat exchanger

Hello fellow brewers...good news. The HERMS systems worked extremly well. After installing an inline filter, the plate chiller brought boiling wort down to pitching temp with pump wide open. So far this has shortened my brewing day by 1-1/2 hours

Nice looking system Chris. To Follow up on JonW's question, what are you using for your electronic ignition valves?

The heat exchanger valve is standard gas valve with standing pilot. Other burners do not require automatic ignition so I use a 12KV spark generator with electrodes near burners
