Picked up a bottle of Firestone Walker's black IPA "Wookey Jack".
Very tasty! Reminds me a lot of Stone's Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale, but with a little ryeness to the delicious roast & citra/amarillo hops!
If you like black IPAs, I would recommend this one!

Need to try that since I love Sublimely. I need to go to BevMo anyway to pick up some Koloa rum. We went to the Koloa tasting room in Kauai on our vacation and I really liked their spiced rum.

I had it on tap at the tasting room in Paso. I wasn't a big fan... Although to be fair, I was doing a high gravity flight with Sucuba, Double DBA on Nitro, and Wookie. The Wookie Jack was my least favorite of the 3. I will have to give it another chance...
On a side note, the Sucuba tasted very close to our club barleywine...

Sucuba sounds interesting! Wonder if I can find it down here in a bottle? Or is it only on tap?
Yeah, the Wookie is a black RYE IPA, so if you don't dig that rye thing ... it may be a turn off. However, I really like the citrus hops with the roasty flavor.. Mmmm!

I'd been turned off to Rye beers lately but really enjoyed Wookey Jack at the Bruery Provisions the other night. Great citrus hop noise with the rye being a spice component and not the main show like so many other rye beers.
