Re: Meeting July 17, 7pm Out of the Park
I'll bring my latest creation. "Brown Vanilla"
An American Brown Ale with Madagascar Vanilla Bean
This was part of a 10 gallon batch. 5 gallons with vanilla, 5 gallons with Hazelnut Extract. The Hazelnut was an attempt to duplicate the flavor of the "Rogue Hazelnut Brown" but 1oz of Hazelnut extract in 5 gallons was way too much. Now, I have to blend it with the Brown Vanilla to mellow it out.

I will not be at the meeting. If anyone wishes to do the style presentation, that would be great.

I will try to make it, but won't be able to be there until around 8pm.

Great meeting guys. I am glad I was able to make it (even though I was an hour late). It's always great to catch up with people in person rather than on the forums. I have to say, I was a little disappointed in the number of guys that showed up. If you weren't there, you missed out on some great beers, mead, and information.

Sorry I missed it. Seems the July meeting has fallen on my anniversary or bday the last several years.BrewMasterBrad wrote:Great meeting guys. We welcomed our newest member, Nevery, at the meeting.
He brought in his first homebrew to share. It was a hoppy stout. Real good, especially for a first time brew.
