I think I'm actually going to get off my ass and bottle for this one, now that I've bought this:

I've signed up to judge which gets me a free entry, so I'll probably enter something.

After watching the demo video, I don't think that is any easier than the Beer Gun, but it is much less expensive for sure. I might actually get one and adapt the stopper and wand for filling growlers.bwarbiany wrote:I think I'm actually going to get off my ass and bottle for this one, now that I've bought this:

BTW I did end up filling with this, and it went *very* well. I filled one extra not for competition, and it definitely was a better fill process than my old method (bottling wand jammed in a picnic tap, run at very low pressure), especially since I didn't have to open the kegerator and/or change serving pressure. The bottle had a great carbonation level.BrewMasterBrad wrote:After watching the demo video, I don't think that is any easier than the Beer Gun, but it is much less expensive for sure. I actually bought 2x of the setup (including the wand with both standard stopper and "growler" stopper), so I might be up for selling the extra one.
BTW I submitted for the competition as well -- 5 entries in total. My first competition since 2011 OC Fair. I'm glad the wait for the judging/results is almost over!

Thanks guys. I entered the Blonde, an APA, and an American Stout. The Blonde is the only one that placed. I would have entered a Cream Ale and a Vienna too if I wasn't so lazy. All the beers I entered were bottled several months ago, so I didn't have very high expectations.

BTW, for those of you who were paying attention on Google+, it does appear that my entries for this comp were lost...
Apparently there was some mishap at O'Shea -- I don't have any details though.

I finally got my scoresheets on Friday, btw. About what I expected, except for the one judge who found a metallic taste in my blonde ale. Thankfully I trust the other judge (Norm) who gave the beer a 35.
