Hi everybody,
I've been wondering how to jump into posting on the board and figured I'd just introduce myself.
My name is Curtis and I'm sure I've met most of you before, but I'm new to the forums and the club. I've been brewing for about a year and have really been enjoying it. I've only brewed a couple of batches (mostly extract) but just jumped into my first all grain batch a few weeks ago. Set up wise, I've just started kegging, and I'm pretty set on the brew in a bag method since I live in an apartment.
I've been to the last two club meetings and really enjoyed them. Also, I'm always down for learning new things and would be interested in club brew days as well.
I appreciate the warm welcome at the past meetings and I'm looking forward to the future ones.
-Curtis

Welcome to the boards Curtis!
BIAB is a cool way to go! Especially with limited space.. What kind of beer was your first all-grain?

I made the liberty cream ale kit from midwest supplies.lexuschris wrote:Welcome to the boards Curtis!

5 gallons
7 lbs 2-row
2 lbs flaked corn
8 ounces carapils
1 oz cascade at 60 and 1 oz cascade at 2 mins
It's now kegged and I just had a glass. I like it, but it's extremely light and has a weird taste I can't describe. I hit all my numbers, but just very light color and mouthfeel.
I really enjoyed doing an all grain batch though.

Glad to see you here, Curtis. Post often.
Re: Introduction
Welcome! Like Tim suggests, post often.
We can sometimes get a bit quiet around here as we rarely have too many "novice" questions to answer, so when you ask something, you'll probably get quite a few responses.
Do you have temp control? For a beer that seems very light in body, I could see that being mash temp. But light in body *and* a weird flavor? Reminds me of a LOT of my early beers where I didn't make starters and pitched the yeast (and fermented the beer) too hot.
