Meetings are open to all Brewcommune forum members (paid and non-paid). If you are new to Brewcommune, please come out and introduce yourself. If you haven't been in a while, please come back.

We should be having a style presentation at this meeting. If you have homebrew you wish to share and discuss, please bring that with you.

Funny you say that..... Dan from OOTPP contacted me two days ago saying that they are now doing movie night on Tuesday nights on the patio and said we would be relocated to inside. Sam, Brian, Randy and I are trying to get there by 6:30 to ensure we get the best table selection.

Discussed

Spencer stepped in for a few minutes to talk about Casitas. The law passed that will allow the SCHF to move forward with a 2015 festival and they are excited about that. One thing he did mention is that moving forward, it will no longer be at Casitas. Possible other venues include Vale in Southern California.

Chris talked about the upcoming officer elections, and the posts are already up on the board. Be sure to check them out!

The club barrel project is moving ahead. Kegs will need to be ready for the filling which takes place on Wednesday, October 29th. Please ensure they are not carbonated.

There was talk of moving the date of the November meeting, because the current date would put it the week of Thanksgiving. It seems like the meeting will be moved up a week or two. This time of year is also for the club annual holiday party, which Chris has offered to host.

Last bit of club business was a few updates on comps. The Inland empire brewing co is hosting an upcoming one, and the PAC brewers results were posted.

Style Presentation

Brad Nixon took a few minutes to pass out the proposed new BJCP guidelines that are being debated on. They are up on the BJCP site if anyone is interested.

Homebrews Shared

Forgive me if I left anyone off (pretty sure I missed a few by the looks of it). All beers shared were quite good, and if I didn’t hear it announced I may have missed it. Here are beers that were passed around:

Jon W - Hoppy Amber

Lars - Amber dry hopped with Amarillo and Centennial hops

Tim - Winter spice brown

Bran N - German Pils

Mike A - Chocolate porter

Dan H - IPA with desert sage and juniper (Mammoth 395 clone)

Brad N - IPA done at the Brewcommune brew day at his house

Brad N - IPA made with fresh Sedona hops

Mike A - Barleywine with oak stave soaked in bourbon
