Brewcommune has had a Facebook page for almost 4 years now, but it was never used. I plan on using it as a place to put announcements about upcoming meetings and events.
My goal is to use it to drive more participation and discussions into the forum, not to move any of that off to the FB Page. I think FB does a terrible job of archiving information for reference, whereas the forum is great at doing that. People tend to check their FB pages several times a day but may miss important information in the forum if they haven't checked in here lately. Hopefully this will be a tool to help us better communicate with members by keeping them in the loop on club activities.
