Club Meeting – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 21st at Towne Park Brewing.
Located at:
1566 West Lincoln Ave.
Anaheim, CA 92801
We are finally headed into summer BrewCommuners! We will be holding the May 2019 club meeting at Towne Park Brewing Co. in Anaheim https://towneparkbrew.com/. This meeting Calvin is going to be dropping some knowledge on us with a malt experiment. Using the ASBC hot steeping method we will be making a malt tea, tasting, and then trying beers that incorporate the malt as a side by side. We will be starting this experiment directly following announcements at 7 so be on time!! Justin will also be providing a style presentation that ties in with the malt experiment. As always, please bring your homebrew if you'd like club feedback.
Meetings are open to all Brewcommune forum members (paid and non-paid). If you are new to Brewcommune, please come out and introduce yourself. Also, please bring your homebrew for which you would like to receive feedback.
Please reply here if you plan on attending!

Sounds awesome! We should call it an exBEERiment! Oh wait, I think that name is taken already...

See you all there. I may suggest to bring a spare tasting glass to have a beer and unhoped malt side by side tasting. I don't know if they'll supply us with excess glasses.
Take a look at Munich malts and chocolate malt. Those are 2 easy ones that show up in a bunch of beers. Beer styles will be a dunkle and a American stout. This will focus more on tasting notes and oerceptions. You can look up the history and other details outside the meeting.
