Following feedback with regards to the blueberry mead: too listerine in color although great looking, too alcohol hot, needing more blueberry flavor, not sweet enough for balance
This morning I uncapped 48 bottles, put contents in the bottling bucket, cleaned the bottles, and proceeded to alterations as per taste: put in an additional 4 lbs of clover honey, 4 ounces of blueberry extract, 1 oz of red food coloring.
Resuts: quite pleased, the addition of the red coloring mixed with the former addition of the blue brought the color into a nice blueberry purple! The addition of the honey toned down the alcohol burn and added sweetness for balance, and the blueberry extract upped the blueberry flavor.
I think the manipulation of the variables is successful.
Will bring the execution to the next meeting for your post evaluation.
It has gained a new life!

The ability to rework mead through blending and additions is one of the more interesting aspects of the endeavor.

1 oz of food coloring sounds like a lot. I would suggest using it very sparingly.
