BrewCommune @ Home - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, September 15th
~10 in attendance
Not to jinx it but now that things are starting to open back up we are hoping to have our next club meeting at an actual brewery again. Yippee!
SCHF Homebrew Competition
4 beers were brought to Brewers Hardware for a mini competition to choose whose would be entered. It was a tough call between a Marzen and Kolsch but the group decided on Greg's Marzen to submit to SCHF.
Aging Beer Taste Exercise
Calvin initiated an interesting experiment to do a taste comparison of a force aged beer vs the non aged counterpart. Details of how the force aging was done and if you would like to repeat the process can be found here: http://www.brewcommune.com/forum/viewto ... f=2&t=3725
A general consensus was the aroma took a hit in quality and some noticed staleness and a thinner mouthfeel. Calvin's presentation is attached as well.
