Yes, I fly sparge, but my SS braids are set up in a manifold configuration so it works OK. I have 4 of them across the bottom of my tun. I'd bring the temp up gradually in order to reduce the possibility of throwing fusels. Generally I've seen fusel production when sudden upward temperature changes (increase in delta-H) occur. Shouldn't be a problem but just something to be aware of.
