Attention Hop Heads!

Hollingshead's put the first of two kegs of Moylan's Hopsickle on tap yesterday. Amazing stuff, and it seems much more bitter than in the bottle. You have to get some!

More bitter than in the bottle? Is it like pouring a bag of hop pellets into your mouth?

I might have to revisit this some day... I really couldn't handle a whole bottle the last time. :shock:

I might have to revisit this some day... I really couldn't handle a whole bottle the last time.
Maybe your delicate taste buds should just stick to Munich Helles. :)

The whole sample before you cast stones thing comes to mind. It's an excellent beer to the point of being instructional for experienced brewers in how to overload hops while maintaining a high level of maltiness for a good counterpoint.

I think you can blame Kevin for this, but they blew the first keg tonight before either one of us got there. So I apologize to anyone who came by to drink some delicious hopsicle (Tim) but apparently they're going to put the second keg on tomorrow sometime, so hopefully it will still be there on friday. :-)

Also, according to Kenny they are planning on putting on the new Stone Anniversary either tomorrow or Friday.
