New job!

Post by kevinham »

After 3 interviews, a ride-along, drug test, and a physical, I was finally offered a position at a commercial dishwasher and cleaning chemical manufacturer. I will be doing preventative maintenance and sales out in the field. I will also be making A LOT more than I am now!

So about 5 minutes ago I put in my two week notice, and boy did it feel good.

Congrats Kevin. No more free coolers? How in the world did you pass the drug test?

Congrats! I'm in the market for a new gig myself. Hopefully, something will come along soon.

So is the new title, "Chief Cook and Bottle Washer"?

Congrats to you!

You probably won't notice much of the pay raise up front since you'll be buying all that new brew gear!

Congrats on the new job!

I won't for a while since I am moving next month. After that I will be buying lots of brewing stuff, and fixing up my computer. Then I might start noticing the pay raise. It is almost a 60% increase over what I make now, so that is going to be awesome.

That's cool, congrats!

I just interviewed for a new job myself. It was very strange, in 20 years in this industry, I've never once had to actually submit a resume and then go for an interview. I've always known who was hiring me and had the job before I "interviewed".

That sure would have been easier. They really had me jumping through hoops. But every time I was there I saw a bunch of other guys interviewing, so it feels pretty good to be the one to make it through.

Maybe you were the only one to pass the drug test.
