Beer Geek Saturday @ the Bruery

Post by maltbarley »

From the site:
December 20th, 2008, starting at 2 PM
Theme: Winter Beers. No entry fee, but you must bring one 22 oz. / 750 mL bottle or 2 12 oz. bottles of noteworthy beer (no swill) to partake in the festivities.

Certainly, we could all use a warmer as the bones are chilled from this cold week in So Cal. I missed the first one, but i plan to be there tomorrow. Is anyone else going?

Funny, I thought about taking that but it's close to swill in it's current state. I believe it's just commercial, anyway.

Homebrew is fine, as long as it meets quality guidelines!!

I'll be there for this one, the first one was awesome. I was really impressed by the quality of some of the beers there.

I look forward to (hopefully) seeing most of you there.

I won't be able to make it. Got the kids, I'm brewing, and I need to do some Christmas shopping.

I'll be there and I'll bring some of my Macadamia Nut Braggot and My Mutiny on the Bounty Cyser.

So when you have a bad batch, is it called Mutiny on the Booty Cyser?

I doubt that there are many "bad batches" for senor Oskaar .. in fact I'd be willing to wager that a bad batch for him is a silver medal winner at most comps!

I think one of Pete's secrets is that he can blend "bad" batches to make good ones. Of course "bad" means too much of this or not enough of that and not booty mutiny funk.

The first Beer Geek was a blast!
I'll be bringing some past years christmas winter warmers to share.
Hmmm, should I bring some Jolly Pumpkin, LaChouffe christmas, Alaskan Smoked Porter, it's so hard to decide....

LOL, Yeah, I like that! Baby got Booty Cyser! LOL

It was great to see everyone at the Beer Geek night over at Da Bruery. Dan, we missed you man, but we drink all the good stuff up up like the greedy gobs we are!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and I'm looking forward to the New Year!

Cheers,

Oskaar
