Here's a preview. When I put them live on the site they'll be $79 including the clamp and o-ring. The gasket in the pict will be replaced with a silicone o-ring. They should be available and on the site in 2 weeks. If anyone is interested in a pre-order, they'll be $65 until they're up and you'll be first in line for delivery.

Just leave it in place. I need to come up with a cap for the tube, but it'll stay sanitary in place.
To rack you'll raise the arm up about half way, start your trasfer either via siphon or very very carefully using a little CO2 back through the blow-off port. Then lower the arm back down until it just picks up sediment.
Transfer all the beer off, swirl the keg a few times, lower the racking arm the rest of the way and then transfer off any yeast you want to keep.
The little rubber caps that come on carboy hoods should work for capping off the racking arm. Dammit! Now I have to start looking for a couple used kegs. I really like the idea of fermenting in stainless.

Hmm, that's a good point. I've been using ice cube coolers since they insulate better and they'd be too small. My old keg bucket thing would work though ... hmm ...
I would suggest a straight blowoff port. Once primary is done it would be easier to place an ordinary air lock on a straight port. I would hope the skirt/handles at the top of the keg would support an easy bend in the blowoff tube to keep it from kinking.

I thought about that too. When I used to ferment in Cornies, I would always just leave the tubing in a blow-off bucket. It's easy enough to weld the straight tube in and include the bent tube as well as a piece of 3/8" tubing to connect them.
