If you decide to motorize in future, suggest you start looking for a motor now
I have seen several "free" motors that would work
I've been using a drill for 6-7 years and I haven't ever felt the need to motorize. It's a bit annoying to sit there holding the drill while you're milling, but really not a big deal.

Yep. Me too.
I'd love to have a bigger hopper on my mill (capable of holding the entire grain bill), but beyond that the drill does everything I need it to...
I use a cordless drill as well, never had any issues until last weekend when both batteries went dead at the same time. I like the hopper extensions for that mill, it's nice to be able to mill 40+ pounds without having to stop.

Yeah, the sheeves on my mill scare the crap out of me. With a 1.5" and 12" setup, I'm always worried one of the kids or someone might get too close and lose a finger. When I start that thing, I clear the area like I'm lighting off a huge firework...
Yes, I know the obvious solution is to cage the belt system but then I wouldn't be the King of Unfinished Projects.

Many a brew day, late have been I,
Cordless drill dead before done,
Hand crank the rest, while breaking a sweat,
Ode to powered mill fun!

Just finished brewing a Belgian Pale Ale today and WOW!
First time using the Monster 3 roller mill and it worked very well
After sparging, checked gravity then calculated efficiency...mid 90%
Rechecked and same results
Checked a third time and same thing
I have never seen efficiency that high at the LHBS
Here is a pic with belt guard removed

Got to use the Monster Mill MM2-2.0 yesterday and it worked great! My efficiency went way up and it worked very well with the Harbor Freight drill I got. I also picked up two sets of these rubber door stops from Home Depot so I can snug the mill up to my bucket. Worked quite well.
