What time can we start setting up in the morning. Hook up to electricity and water?

I plan on being over there around 8:30. Since the published time is 9 am, I don't think we should try to get started with any part of the brewing prior to that.

Yes, there will be water, but not sure about electricity. Is it just for your mash stir? Maybe skip that part for this brew.

Tim - do you have a popup 10x10 tent to bring?

I've had about a dozen people RSVP to come check it out. Ryan (Riip) has also had responses, but I don't know how many.

Water good. If no electricity, yes, I will skip the mash mixer.
No, don't have a canopy, sorry, just my little umbrella.
See you there at 8:30
thanks

Looks like I will make it for a little while. I am getting everything ready for my brew day ready tonight, so when I get home tomorrow afternoon, I will just need to turn on the flame.

Article from the LA TIMES about "Learn to Homebrew Day"
http://www.latimes.com/food/dailydish/l ... story.html

Had to laugh at the first part of the article.
" You’ll just need a stock pot, a funnel, and a few hours to put it all together."
I never knew making beer was so easy.

Anyone want my brew rig? I guess it's worthless and I probably need to get it out of my garage, since I've already got a stock pot and a funnel...

Fun day at Riip today. Thank you Tim, Curtis & Will for doing demonstrations. Thank you everyone else for the great turnout. There were several folks there eager to ask questions and see what home brewing was all about.

Ryan from Riip has asked me to spearhead putting together a collaboration brew with them. As I get some of the details of that together, I'll post up the info in the members only section.

Really enjoyed this "Learn to Brew Day"
Perfect weather, ocean across the street, Riip Beer on tap in their tasting room and good friends.
Thanks to Jon and the volunteers who put this together.
A friend of mine from work was there to see the different methods of brewing. He said he learned a lot by seeing the demos.

(Tim, glad you liked the Blonde. Always nice to get a good review.)

Great day and a good turnout. Sorry I had to leave early, but I needed to brew at home.

Don, sorry I got you all wet.
