DIY Temp Control?

Someone is giving away a whole bunch of Water dispensers on CL.

If these are the refrigerated type, which they appear to be, any thoughts on getting them and harvesting refrigeration parts out of them to use for fermentation temp control? Could this work? Is it even worth thinking about?
