2023 National Homebrew Competition

Based on member feedback, the competition will return to first-round judging sites in regional locations across the United States in the spring.
Final round judging will take place during the week of Homebrew Con™ June 22-24, 2023, in San Diego, CA.
The 2023 National Homebrew Competition will use the 2021 Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) Style Guidelines. This will be the first year these guidelines are used, moving on from the 2015 BJCP Style Guidelines. https://www.bjcp.org/bjcp-style-guidelines/
2023 Dates & Deadlines
January 24 (10 a.m MST) to January 31 (3 p.m. MST): Competition & Beer Registration
Through February 10: Entry Edits Only available after payment
March 6 – 17: First Round Shipping Window
March 24 – April 23: First Round Site Judging
May 3: First Round Results Announced
June 5 – 14: Final Round Entry Shipping
June 21: Final Round Judging
June 24: Awards Ceremony NHC Awards Ceremony at Homebrew Con in San Diego.

The deadline to register for the NHC has been extended to February 12, 2023

I've been thinking about it, but right now I only have a mead that is fermenting. I'll have to see if I can set aside some of my SCHF server brew for some bottles... It all comes down to timing, but I'd like to get something in there!

I brewed an amber lager a couple weeks ago that I'm ready to keg and start lagering. Excited to get some feedback on it!
