Day 1: Stereo Brewing - Year 8 IPA
Great opening nose, I get some pine and mosaic. Clear straw color. For a WC style IPA, it's pretty balanced. I might detect a slight diacetyl mouthfeel. Maybe due to large late / dry hopping. Nothing off-putting. 7.5/10.

I think Stereo was going for a true West coast IPA in that it is not balanced. (I’ve had many “west coast” ipas lately that are clear but taste balanced and soft mouthfeel like a NEIPA.). I get strong bitterness a-la original stone IPA. In terms of this style, I think they nailed it. Definitely some cheater hops in there and they are delicious. I’d drink 2 pints. 8/10.

Should we do a daily post starting tomorrow? Day 2, day 3, etc? I feel like we are going to get into some serious scrolling.

I'll start to double up on posts after today to not flood the board but for day 1, I'll say a strong start to the month! Great WC IPA, not overly bitter. Very balanced. Not getting a lot of piney dankness, overwhelming floral and citrus hoppyness for me. A little cloudy but pretty clear overall, and nice straw color. Not much head on my pour or lacing on the glass. I gave it 4.5, well above Untapped average.

Green Cheek Pumpkin. Best pumpkin beer probably ever. Malt forward as expected. I get allspice and some cinnamon. A tab bit of alcohol heat. 7.8/10.

#2 Green Cheek Pumpkin
I get nutmeg on the nose and some other undetermined spices. For a pumpkin beer, I don’t get a whole lot of the pumpkin, which for me is great. It’s just enough to hint at the omnipresent autumnal flavors without punishing you. Slightly sweet. I don’t get the alcohol heat.

8/10. Would enjoy a few at a sitting.

#3 Enegren Munich-style Helles.

I’ve been drinking this beer a lot lately. Light, refreshing and crushable.

About half way through now. The Einstok winter ale stands out for me.
