Hi all! It’s been a long time! I’ve been living in Upland for about 8 years now, so it’s hard to be involved in an OC club, but I miss you guys.
Anyway. I went to AirGas to get CO2 today and they are completely out. Apparently with the lower gasoline usage, the refineries are putting out less CO2 ...

Re: Beer shipping containers
Unfortunately, I threw them out a while back (I moved). I can find out about the 375ml shippers.
The 4 cases I sent to Colorado were shipped via Safe Haven Wine Services in Paso Robles. They ship wine clubs for Wineries to most of the contiguous 48 states. He shipped the beer to CO for my wedding ...

Re: Beer shipping containers
I received a gift of "Beer of the Month" last year for Christmas. The 12 packs of 12oz bottles came in this shipper.

Why can't you just run a hose from your sink to the where you are brewing?3rdto1st wrote:Brahn, I think we discussed why I can't use my sink. I'm brewing outside and so after my boil I have to carry the hot pot inside to the sink. This has resulted in some nasty burns that I would rather not experience again.

Dammit, people. Now I'm gonna have to buy a thermometer to go inline on the output of my CFC. It's something I've probably needed for a long time, but I can see this being very useful to actually hitting target pitch temps and reducing brewday time.
I wonder if I can get my brewday under 4 hours ...

Re: Firestone Walker's "Wookey Jack" - Black IPA
I had it on tap at the tasting room in Paso. I wasn't a big fan... Although to be fair, I was doing a high gravity flight with Sucuba, Double DBA on Nitro, and Wookie. The Wookie Jack was my least favorite of the 3. I will have to give it another chance...

Re: Heffernan's Home Brewing Supplies
Went to this store on Friday. They have a small selection of specialty grains and hops, but are mainly geared toward the extract brewer. The owner did tell me that he usually has 2-row on hand, but that I should call a day or two before I need it to make sure. It is a good place to get that ...
