Nice work Brad.

Way to go Brad!

Congrats Brad, very cool!
I haven't entered any competitions, but I agree on the RO water. I've noticed a significant improvement as well. It's up there with fermentation temperature control in terms of biggest improvements in my beer.

Re: 2015 National Homebrew Competition
Been homebrewing for about 5 years but only been to 2 BrewCommune meetings. Brought a RIS to my first meeting, (two meetings ago) and got some very good feedback on my water adjustments from a member whos name I cannot remember. I made a IPA and an IIPA soon after that meeting and adjusted my RO mash water with CaCL, gypsum and acidulated malt. Thought they came out great and brought the IPA to the last meeting in Buena Park and received positive feedback from the group.
Entered both my IPA and IIPA 14B and 14C to the Seattle judging location. Results are in and I took 2nd for IPA and 3rd for IIPA. http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/c ... /winners/ So incredibly stoked to even place in a category as dificult as 14
Couldn't have done it without the feedback. Thank You!

Congrats Greg. Those are extremely competitive categories. Make sure you bring some samples to the next club meeting.

That's outstanding! Did you notice that your 2nd and 3rd were out of 63 entries? That's absolutely killing it.indianajns wrote:Entered both my IPA and IIPA 14B and 14C to the Seattle judging location. Results are in and I took 2nd for IPA and 3rd for IIPA.

If you weren't at the last, why should he expect you to be at the next?BrewMasterBrad wrote:Congrats Greg. Those are extremely competitive categories. Make sure you bring some samples to the next club meeting.
