Calculating Water Properties

I'm setting up BrewSmith and one thing I want to get right is the water profile. I pulled up my local water report (http://www.cityoforange.org/civica/file ... lobID=7335) but I can't figure out how to calculate HCO3 (Bicarbonate) from the stated statics. Can anyone help?

I pulled up the next city over's water report and it states the HCO3 amounts. Is it correct to assume the two cities have relatively close HCO3 amounts?

And just to make it more difficult, if I use a carbon filter how much does it affect the levels of the relevant compounds? If I understand what I have read, chlorine is filtered out but calcium, sulfate, magnesium, sodium and bicarbonate are not. Is that correct?

Just call the number and leave a message, the guy will call you back. The numbers I have for Orange are several years old but the guy was very helpful.

The carbon filter should not affect those numbers.
